What I'm working on ...
Chipping away at Catholic Charities

Just an update, friends.
Since early summer, I’ve been following a story that could imperil the entire Catholic Charities (CC) apparatus nationwide.
The “where” of this story is Wisconsin. The state successfully argued Catholic Charities was not a “religious” organization and stripped the giant nonprofit of its religious tax exemption.
Catholic Charities appealed the decision to the state’s Supreme Court. That’s when I began following the story, in the summer.
In early September, I travelled to Wisconsin, bunking with a friend in Milwaukee and driving over to Madison so I could be present for oral arguments in the case.
Everyone realized that regardless of the state Supreme Court’s decision, this case would likely end up in the Supreme Court of the United States.
On Thursday, six months later, the Wisconsin Supreme Court handed down its decision. It upheld the appeals court decision to deny CC a religious tax exemption.
The 150-pages of majority and dissenting opinions are sitting next to me now. I need time to review them and gather additional statements.
I just wanted to let you know … my analysis is coming. The legal reasoning behind denying the religious exemption will be important to understand.
We all need to be cautious in our celebrations. This may be a case of, “Be careful what you wish for.” Keep in mind, all kinds of religious organizations filed amicus briefs in support of Catholic Charities.
I am working on another project right now … one with a hard deadline that cannot be shifted. So friends … just a heads up …
Look for something toward the end of the week.

Just wanted to make you aware of this article about Catholic Relief Services which may shed light on the Catholic Charities issue you are investigating.

"On March 6th, the Population Research Institute and the Lepanto Institute held a joint press conference to release the findings of a year-long investigation into Catholic Relief Services. We detailed in the press conference, and in a 131-page report filled

with evidence, that CRS has been involved in programs pushing contraception, abortion education, and graphic sexual education on girls as young as ten.
In spite of our requests, CRS has not yet released a full public statement responding to the recently released investigation findings. That does not mean they haven’t responded at all, however. In correspondence with top donors only, CRS has given vague denials. The organization has refused to address the copious evidence in our report and attempted to discredit our report by reminding their top donors that “the authority to make such assessments rests with the bishops and theologians." By the way, the "Population Research Institute"
used to be headed by Stephen W. Mosher, a Catholic social scientist who used to be on Dr. Stan Monteith's Radio Liberty radio shows from time to time.

"Steven Westley Mosher[1] (born May 9, 1948[2]) is an American social scientist, anti-abortion activist, neoconservative, anti-communist, and president of the Population Research Institute (PRI), which opposes population control and abortion. In the early 1990s, he was the director of the Claremont Institute's Asian Study Center, as well as a member of the US Commission on Broadcasting to China.[3] He is the author of several books concerning China. Sorry for thread drift but this topic is the big connected network , hundreds of years old, systems of evil.
It gets into the secret societies and "population control" and the "mystery of iniquity".
The darkside entities love "population control" and the book, Limits of Growth, written by the Club of Rome in 1972 promoted the idea and the "necessity" of "culling" the world population down to 1 billion people.

I pray that each of us will focus this Holy Week on the crucifixion of our Savior, the One Who is Truth.
